We believe your theatre history, memories and reflections are yours. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have about your information.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not make your private journal entries or theatre history publicly visible through gloami.

We do not ask you to provide sensitive personal information and you should avoid including information about yourself or other people that you would not be comfortable storing within your private journal.
Photos and voice recordings
You may choose to:
upload photos to your gloams
record or upload voice notes
These features are optional.
Photos and voice recordings are stored privately and associated with your gloami account.
Reminders and notifications
If you choose to use reminder features, gloami may store information about your reminder preferences and scheduled follow-ups.
Where device notifications are used, gloami may request permission from your device to display them. You can change notification permissions at any time through your device settings.
We may introduce additional notification functionality in future. If this materially changes the information we process, we will update this Privacy Policy.
Technical and security information
Our systems and service providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot gloami.
This may include information such as:
device and browser information

3. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and operate gloami, including to:

We do not use your private journal entries to create public reviews or make your personal theatre history publicly accessible.
4. Ticket links and affiliate partnerships
gloami may include links that allow you to find or purchase tickets from third-party ticketing providers.
Some of these links may be affiliate links. This means HouseLites Ltd may receive a commission if you follow a gloami ticket link and subsequently make a qualifying purchase. This does not normally increase the price you pay.
Affiliate links may contain referral information that allows the ticketing provider or affiliate network to recognise that the visit came from gloami.
Where affiliate reporting is available, we may receive information such as referral activity, conversions, purchases or commission earned. This information may be aggregated or pseudonymous rather than directly identifying you.
We do not receive or store your payment card details when you purchase tickets from a third-party ticket provider.
We do not intentionally include your private journal entries, reflections, photos, voice notes or other gloami journal content in affiliate links.
Once you leave gloami and visit a third-party ticketing website or service, that organisation will process information according to its own privacy policy, cookie policy and terms.
We recommend reviewing the privacy information provided by the relevant ticketing provider before completing a purchase.
5. Our lawful bases for using your information
Under UK data protection law, we rely on different lawful bases depending on why information is being processed.
Contract
We process information where it is necessary to provide the gloami service you have requested. This includes maintaining your account, storing your theatre journal and providing core app features.
Legitimate interests
We may process limited information where necessary for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, maintaining and improving gloami, provided those interests do not override your rights and freedoms.
This may also include understanding the performance of affiliate ticket links and managing affiliate partnerships.
Consent
Where appropriate, we rely on your consent. This may include optional permissions, certain notification functionality and marketing communications.
You can withdraw consent where applicable.
Legal obligation
We may process or retain information where we are required to do so by law.
6. Who we share information with
We only share or allow access to personal information where reasonably necessary to operate gloami, provide a feature you have chosen to use, or meet a legal obligation.
Supabase
We use Supabase infrastructure for services including database hosting, authentication and file storage.
Information associated with your gloami account may therefore be processed using Supabase systems on our behalf.
Apple and Google
If you download gloami through an app store, Apple or Google may independently process information relating to your app-store account, download, device or purchases under their own privacy policies.
Ticketing and affiliate partners
If you choose to follow an affiliate or ticketing link, information necessary to process and attribute that referral may be handled by the relevant ticketing provider or affiliate network.
Any subsequent ticket purchase takes place with the third-party provider rather than with gloami unless we explicitly tell you otherwise.
Notification infrastructure
Where notification functionality is enabled, limited technical information necessary to deliver notifications may be processed through device or notification infrastructure provided by organisations such as Apple, Google or Expo.
Professional advisers and authorities
We may disclose information to professional advisers, regulators, courts, law enforcement or other authorities where reasonably necessary or required by law.
7. Do we sell or use your data for advertising?
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your private journal entries, photos, voice recordings or theatre history to build advertising profiles.
Affiliate ticket links are used to connect users with ticketing providers and may allow gloami to earn commission from eligible referrals.
8. International transfers
Some of the service providers used to operate gloami may process information outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by applicable UK data protection law.
9. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Information forming part of your gloami account will generally be retained while your account remains active.
If you delete your gloami account, personal information associated with that account will be deleted or anonymised unless we are required or permitted by law to retain particular information.
Residual copies may temporarily remain in system backups according to our service providers' normal backup and retention processes before being overwritten or deleted.
We may retain limited information where necessary to meet legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution obligations.
10. Keeping your information secure
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect information processed through gloami.
These include measures such as:
authenticated account access
access controls restricting users to their own private information
encrypted network connections
private storage for user-uploaded photos and voice recordings
security controls within our database and storage infrastructure
restricted administrative access
No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information entrusted to us.
11. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights including the right to:
access personal information we hold about you
ask us to correct inaccurate information
ask us to delete your information
ask us to restrict certain processing
object to certain processing
receive certain information in a portable format
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
complain to the Information Commissioner's Office
Some of these rights are subject to legal limitations and may not apply in every situation.
You can find information about your data-protection rights at the Information Commissioner's Office website.
12. Deleting your gloami account
You can delete your gloami account from within gloami using the account deletion option available through your account or settings area.
Deleting your account will permanently delete the account and the personal data associated with it, including your private theatre journal and user-uploaded media, subject to any limited information we are legally required or permitted to retain.
If you no longer have access to the app, you can request deletion through:
gloami.app/delete-account
We may need to verify that a deletion request genuinely relates to your account before completing a request submitted outside the app.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
13. Third-party websites and services
gloami may contain links to websites or services operated by other organisations, including theatres, ticketing providers and affiliate partners.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content or security of third-party services.
When you leave gloami, you should review the privacy information provided by the organisation you are visiting.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as gloami develops or where our legal, technical or commercial arrangements change.
Where a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will take reasonable steps to make users aware of the change.
The latest version will always show the date it was last updated.

Terms of Use
Last updated: 5 September 2026
These Terms of Use apply when you use the Gloami app, website or related services.
Gloami is operated by HouseLites Ltd, trading as Gloami, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17354130.
By creating a Gloami account or using Gloami, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Gloami
Gloami is a private theatre journalling and discovery service. It allows users to record their theatre history, create private reflections, save shows, upload memories and receive personalised theatre recommendations.
Gloami is not a ticketing service, theatre producer, venue, critic or official source of production information.
2. Your account
You are responsible for:
Providing accurate account information
Keeping access to your account secure
Not allowing another person to misuse your account
Telling us if you believe your account has been compromised
You must not create an account using another person's identity without their permission.
Gloami is not intended for children under 13.
3. Your theatre journal
Your theatre history, journal entries and other personal reflections are intended to be private to your Gloami account unless a feature clearly tells you that you are choosing to share something.
You retain ownership of content that you create and upload to Gloami, including your journal entries and photographs.
You give HouseLites Ltd limited permission to host, store, process, reproduce and display that content where necessary to operate Gloami for you.
This permission does not give us ownership of your content.
4. Content you upload
You should only upload content that you have the right to use.
You must not knowingly upload content that:
Infringes someone else's copyright, trade mark or other rights
Is unlawful
Contains malicious software or code
Is intended to interfere with Gloami or another user's account
Violates another person's privacy
5. Show information and artwork
Gloami contains information about theatrical works and productions so users can identify, record and discover shows.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, Gloami is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any production, theatre, venue, producer, composer, writer, performer, licensor, publisher, ticketing company or other rights holder.
Show titles, trade marks and associated intellectual-property rights belong to their respective owners.
Artwork created for Gloami is designed for journalling and discovery purposes and should not be interpreted as official production artwork.
6. Show information may change
We try to keep information within Gloami useful and accurate, but theatre changes quickly.
Productions may close, transfer, change venue, alter performance dates, change cast, change ticket availability or otherwise differ from information previously displayed in Gloami.
You should verify important information with the relevant venue, production or ticket provider before making travel arrangements or purchasing tickets.
7. Recommendations and match scores
Gloami may provide personalised recommendations, match percentages or other suggestions based on your preferences and activity.
These are recommendations, not guarantees. A high match score does not guarantee that you will enjoy a show, and a lower score does not mean that you will not. Theatre is subjective. That's part of the point.
8. Third-party websites and ticket links
Gloami may link to external websites including theatre venues, productions and ticketing providers.
We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their availability, content, ticket inventory, pricing, booking process, terms or privacy practices.
Any transaction you make with a third-party provider is between you and that provider.
9. Affiliate links
Some links within Gloami may be affiliate links. This means HouseLites Ltd may receive a commission if you follow a link and subsequently make a qualifying purchase.
Affiliate relationships do not determine your personal journal content or guarantee that Gloami will recommend a particular show.
10. Free and paid features
The core Gloami experience may be provided free of charge.
We may introduce optional premium features, subscriptions or other paid services in the future.
If we do, the applicable price and billing information will be shown before you purchase them.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
11. Acceptable use
You must not use Gloami to:
Break the law
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to another account or system
Interfere with the operation or security of Gloami
Introduce malware or harmful code
Systematically scrape or extract Gloami's database or content without permission
Commercially exploit Gloami's proprietary artwork, branding, software or databases without permission
12. Gloami intellectual property
Except for content owned by users or third-party rights holders, intellectual property associated with Gloami belongs to HouseLites Ltd or its licensors.
This includes, where applicable:
The Gloami name and branding
Original artwork
App design
Written content
Software
Database structure
Original graphics, icons and visual systems
13. Availability of Gloami
We want Gloami to be available and reliable, but we cannot promise that the service will always operate without interruption or error.
We may perform maintenance, fix faults, modify features, add or remove functionality or suspend parts of the service for security or operational reasons.
14. Closing your account
You may stop using Gloami at any time.
You can request permanent deletion of your account through the account or Settings area of the app.
Deleting the app from your device does not automatically delete your Gloami account.
15. Suspending or terminating accounts
We may restrict, suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe these Terms have been seriously or repeatedly breached, the account is being used unlawfully, the account creates a security risk, or we are required to do so by law.
16. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful for us to do so.
If you are using Gloami as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Gloami is provided primarily as a personal journalling and discovery service. We are not responsible for losses caused by relying on Gloami as an authoritative source of ticket availability, production schedules, travel information or other information that should reasonably be verified with the relevant provider.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms where necessary to reflect changes to Gloami, new features, legal or regulatory requirements, security requirements or changes to how the service operates.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you may also benefit from mandatory rights and protections under the laws that apply where you live.
